ACNAIB: Raw Portraiture

While photographing a swimwear fashion show, I had the opportunity to work behind the scenes to capture the models in an informal setting. The backroom where makeup artists and hairstylists were busy at work was poorly lighted and the available light was multi-color LED lamps used for a nightclub. The makeup artists had a difficult task trying to work with color and the environment for a photographer was terrible. Well, almost terrible. The lighting created a mood that was very conducive to edgy editorial images in monochrome. This set was culled from the group and edited for their unique portraiture.
